even as an european who is accustomed to governments doing crazy shit all the time, it's really interesting to see canada going _so_ full throttle evil.
this whole assisted suicide stuff is absolutely wrong. not for being about "killing people". it's obviously just to get rid of chronically ill to save money, but the front is "look friendly canadians are caring for the ill!!1". disgusting shit.
@niclas
> We are all chronically ill, it is just a matter of "how long?".
indeed :)
> eugenicists
that's precisely what most of the "progressives" agenda is in the end. only what is considered "good" differs from other attempts at eugenics.
> If that was Canada today; "You should consider medically assisted suicide."
precisely this is the perversion, not the killing itself.
@special-boy @niclas
i'll don my tinfoil hat for a moment:
take the 10000ft view. many things currently viewed positively will likely lead to the reduction of population:
fertilizer from russia is pushed to be banned from export. children are expected to be in daycare from at least year 1. get vaxxed with experimental shit. hedonistic lifestyle combined with cheap hormonal birth control (which has severe health effects). everything is feminizing embryos due to BPA and other chemicals. "healthy food" is literally poison because it is processed and concentrated - soybeans aren't bad, concentrating them and putting them into everything is bad. eat sweeteners instead of sugar, it's totally healthy.
i could go on. maybe it's just coincidence. on the other hand: if you really believe in the brave new technocratic world, which these progressives apparently do...
@special-boy @niclas
what is the most sure fire way to achieve that? :)
@special-boy @niclas
it's not that they didn't do that, the danes and canadians sterilized inuit teens.
people would find a good reason why to slowly roast kittens alive and wouldn't get PTSD.
the problem with sterilizing large swaths of the population is that it likely will come to light one day and you have an army of problems at hand. which of course is the problem of a later government after you in our glorious democracies. after at most 4-5 years you are off the hook.
@dc *insert always has been meme
@iron_bug @jrballesteros05 as i've written, it's not about the killing. you can never choose for someone else though, but in my opinion this effectively is what is happening.
pushing it as an option for mentally ill shows how evil these people are - even if that possibility has been revoked in canada.
most mental illnesses now are due to society being a meat grinder. it's as if the bullies were the ones who deal out the help - of course they would say "haha, kys!". it's cheaper and they don't have to deal with the problem anymore. the humanistic varnish doesn't help, the monetary motives shine through.
there are so many ways these sicknesses could possibly be treated. not even serious research is done - likely because many substances would be available as cheap generics. for some people you can fix severe depression where nothing else works with a ketamine "trip" every other week. this is still a non-standard treatment, despite it being cheap and effective. it is of course not the optimum treatment, ketamine might do damage of it's own. so do ssris very likely, everything is fucking with brain chemistry one way or another. the same goes for non-mental illnesses.
offering people death instead is exactly the opposite of what the progressives paint themselves though. i feel they offer not out of kindness, but out of greed.
@bonifartius
We are all chronically ill, it is just a matter of "how long?".
And it is easy to prove those eugenicists all wrong; Stephen Hawking. Diagnosed ALS when he was 21, and prognosis of 2 years of life. He died at age 76, with an enormous legacy for humankind.
If that was Canada today; "You should consider medically assisted suicide." and we all would be worse off.
