stop acting like someone other than your own government manipulates the actual voting process.
complaining about "influence campaigns" is just saying "my population is too dumb to decide". at this point you can completely stop the "democracy"-bullshit, you said that people need others to decide what's good for them as they are _too dumb_.

either the government trusts the people to decide right.
or it doesn't. which means that your government thinks that you are too dumb to decide anything.
@Hyolobrika that's to be expected of governments though. they aren't bound by law, they just change the law or bend it. after all, what are you going to do, put them into jail?
a good rule of thumb is that your own government does at least the same kind of things they accuse their enemies of :)
@bonifartius @bonifartius it depends on the influence campaigns in question. some of them involve manipulation of the underlying medium
