Mass defederations and fostering a uptight atmosphere chased the opportunities away.
FediBlock gave Musk all the power he needed.
You can't just want decentralized social media to work, you have to operate in a way that can actually allow it to thrive.

this implies that people are too stupid (a standard socialist policy). i think people, maybe except for progressives, are fed up being called stupid.

I definitely think it moved the needle.
Think of it as a super massive, super targeted ad spend. All it needed to do was make sure those likely to vote for Trump did.
