A few weeks back, #UCL Computer Science hosted @pluralistic who talked about #enshittification - how big corporate tech use bait & switch techniques wrt our personal data and usage of their platforms. A panel discussion followed the talk, on regulation and combatting such trends.

@davoloid @pluralistic ahem, still works with *my* ad-blockers: uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger. No sure how long that will stay true.
@marjolica @pluralistic Yeah, I was being a little sarcastic there after the recent suggestion of adversarial adblocking policy.
