@freemo That's indeed interesting. A quarter of the Earth's diameter, but the volume is so drastically smaller. Noticed from the numbers that you can also infer conclusions about the Moon's inner structure - a lower average density compared to Earth's. No heavy iron inner core there, like Earth's, which gives us residual heat, magnetic field and more.
@design_RG In fact the moons lack of a heavy corre is part of why we thought it came from earth, and we also know from the mineral distribution that it was molten at one point. But yea no heavy core like earth.
