5 Euros will get you real ncie wine in Europe. Or a nice box with 4 liters of Tinto, red table wine, perfectly good for accompanying a nice meal.

Here in Canada local wines are priced up, 9 Euros for a bottle? I pass. Buy Italian, Abbruzzo mostly, since local stores don't carry much Portuguese ones, sadly.

In California you can buy their own wines for amazing prices, at grocery stores even.

Napa Valley, starting at 2 USD. Yes, please.

Yes, I would rather prefer any Portuguese wine to the Californian ones. Simply to support small producers and cooperatives.

I remember in my first trip in Portugal, bicycle touring. Got a bottle of Tinto somewhere, enjoyed it with meals. Later I was surprised to cycle thru the town and right beside the coop where it was produced.

Adega de Pegões, produced in Pegões, at the corner of the Setúbal district. I was on my way to lovely Évora. 😄
