@mmu_man I'm not putting rechargeables in it for now. The replacement battery sled doesn't have the contacts for charging.

now i'm wondering how much voltage that even pulls. my 90s electronics needed 7.8 volts but only on Fridays otherwise it was 15v

@naf.nyc 7 point a bit, according to the on device diagnostics. Enough to power it up and run WiFi...

@splorp it's the v5 and it's everything promised.
Only played with power and serial port so far, but those both work flawlessly - power on with no battery, and keyboard input over Sloup from a machine.
If you were on the fence, get one :-)
