@mngrif Thank you, I'm glad i didnt contribute to your concerns. You are also lucky to have a city like that. Sadly seems most places in america either hate non-hetero non-cis or they hate hetero or CIS.. Sounds like you may have found some rare but lovely play that is reasonably accepting of both. Thats awesome!

@freemo @mngrif A lot of people seem to have the "You're our enemy if you're not like us" type of mentality (especially online) from what I've observed

@Saederup92

Yup much of america is an "Us vs them" mentality and it is tearing the place apart. At least that was my experience before i fled the states.

@mngrif

@freemo @mngrif Sooner or later it will start tearing up the rest of the world as well, which would be very bad.

@Saederup92

It has already started, while the UK isnt as bad as the USA in this regard it is a VERY close second in terms of this behavior and polarization in general. The EU is doing way better as this mentality hasnt seeped into nearly as much of the EU yet, but every once in a while you still meet the extremist type.

@mngrif

@freemo @mngrif It's bad no matter which side the mentality coming from

Follow

@Saederup92 Well yea, extremism and polarization are never healthy.

@freemo Of course. I mean sometimes it's necessary to be like "well we'll never agree on everything let's at least be respectful about it"
