@design_RG interesting fact. Fully automatic machine guns pre-dated the 2nd ammendment in the USA by I think it was 100 years.
@design_RG First fully automatic machine gun was built in 1718 and was somewhat popular, many other models of automatics followed.
So not quite 100 years I admit, but a still.

Really? Judging from the "second" ordinal, I assume it was a very early amendment to the US Constitution.

Yes, though so.
1791, date of Second ammendment. No repeating weapons at the time even.
The language is very Colonial period, and could be a case study for clarification, if SCOTUS had the guts to do it.
