Why rely on an external service for querying your own IP when you can ask directly to your home router?

`upnpc -l | grep -i externalipaddress`

Follow

@aluaces Often times the external IP of the router isnt the IP you have on the internet itself, sometimes it is.

To give you an idea if i run that command here I get the following:

ExternalIPAddress = 0.0.0.0
