Python multiprocessing can go fuck itself... thats all... good night, im going to bed salty as fuck though.

@Wetrix Multithreading in python doesnt allow you to utilize multiple cores, you must use multiprocessing. But with multiprocessing you cant just share python objects among processes you have to just pass the raw data along. Which can be an expensive operation to construct and descrunt objects and often times you dont have enough control over an objects internals to do it at all.

@freemo @Wetrix my favorite part of python is it has threads but they are useless :blobcatfakeverified:

@icedquinn

Yea its so absurd. You think they would have fixed that in 3.x but noooooo.

Threads do have some minimal use, mostly just to make code async.

@Wetrix

@freemo @Wetrix doing good jobs is hard. easier to pass codes of conduct.

@icedquinn

So now you cant even make people cry by telling them they are a shit coder? No wonder they cant get anyone done, everyone is too busy being nice to each other!

@Wetrix

@freemo @icedquinn today's people are very sensitive. To well...... everything 😁

@Wetrix

Did you just call me sensative!!! SENSATIVE!!!! How dare you. I am not fucking sensitive you racist asshole!

@icedquinn

@Wetrix

Only a CISHet ultra white male alt-right would dare to call me names!

@icedquinn

@freemo
The twitter scandal I posted about yesterday kinda also went like this, but that time it was serious :blobcatsad:
@Wetrix @icedquinn

@mur2501 @freemo @icedquinn what Twitter scandal was that what Twitter scandal was that?

@mur2501 @freemo @icedquinn ah yes it sounds like my friend I argue with about politics πŸ™ƒ

Everything he reads is right and everything I read is wrong and a conspiracy theory. Because he must be right at all costs πŸ‘»

@Wetrix
All political debates are like that
But don't shit this into scientific debates. Science is not for right or wrong.
@freemo @icedquinn

@mur2501

Science is about observation, sharing those observations, discussing those observations, and getting better at predicting what we expect to observe given certain conditions... that is all science is about, doing that and doing it well. Right and wrong is the domain of the human ego and rests squarely outside of science.

@Wetrix @icedquinn

@freemo
That's what I try to explain to many but it seems a quite amount of them have just taken it as another religion or something :ablobblastoff:
@Wetrix @icedquinn

@mur2501

Very few people, even scientists get this.. Mostly because the primary motivator for people is to use science to tell them what reality is, and they often use it to win arguments... Thats perfectly fine and people are welcome to use it that way (though I'd discourage it on philosophical grounds).. but the issue isnt that they use science this way, its that they think that it **is** science to use it in that way. Which as we agree it is not.

@Wetrix @icedquinn

@freemo @mur2501 @Wetrix the purpose of debates are for testing concepts. if it's not acid testing a concept someone is doing it wrong :bunhdlurk:

@mur2501 @freemo @icedquinn you mean like scientology? It's even in the name πŸ˜‚πŸ˜
