So the Sci-fi show I'm watching right now... the captain apparently falls in love with his ship, has sex with it, the ship gets jealous when the captain tries to get it to self destruct to hide his "shameful" sexual intercourse with the ship, in response the ship blows him up and the entire planet instead against orders.... cant even make this shit up.
I'm all for any scifi that has a captain bonning his ship, cant wait to see what they do next episode.
@freemo Alexa, decouple!
@freemo sounds like an episode of Futurama https://youtu.be/7lXjNz2t3rk
@js290 Everything sounds like a futurama episode :)
@freemo
I saw a short flick once where a prospective car jacker went to steal a car from a parking garage and ended up bomping it in the gas tank while it urged him on in a female voice. He ended up getting arrested before he could finish. He looked back while being driven away and the headlights flashed at him.
Fetish for inanimate objects do exist- as bazzar as it is. There are some people who are infatuated with buildings and architecture.
@lucifargundam lol love it...
In this case the ship wasnt exactly inanimate, it had a personification, an avatar as they called it.
@lucifargundam @freemo aka Ayn Rand? ![]()
@lucifargundam @freemo she was the author of the Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged. Both seem to fetishize the architect and the buildings themselves. And just watching her interviews I get the sense that though she was not religious, construction and architects were her gods.
