My first thought was "doesnt that mean they need to raise wages until people who dont want to do the job do it?"
Don't get me wrong I'm pro immigration and all. But the logic here doesnt fit
@freemo Same logic they use in Brexit? ;)
@trinsec How so?
@freemo Well, from that image it looks like that because of immigration crackdown, there aren't enough workers for certain (usually menial) jobs. They'd need to raise wages because the locals sure as hell ain't doing it. (And even then, even with higher wages the locals probably ain't doing it anyway).
The Brexit has the same problem. Not enough menial workers for, for example, harvesting their strawberry fields. The locals (the British) don't want to do it. But the British sure love complaining that the people (usually from Eastern Europe) 'steal' their jobs. Well, the end result is that nobody is going to do it!
@trinsec ahh yes, similar problem with brexit for sure.
