One of my companies just got mentioned in an "article" in a magazine from the UK about the top 77 Big Data Companies in Pennsylvania. Its literally just a list of 77 companies. Feels more like a scam but honestly I cant figure out what the angle is.

Actually i figured it out.. saw an email in my spam mail from them. Apparently they wanted me to write an article about how i got listed as a top Big data company and link to URL and then they would reshare my article...
They were looking for link backs for SEO apparently.
Views. I read somewhere that people gravitate towards ranked lists.
