okay. moa.party/ is officially 😋 awesome. Besides the open-source goodness, the faux-text aesthetic on their website is pretty great.

@worldsendless That is pretty cool. My question is for someone not on qoto, which is better, Moa or Mastodon Twitter Crossposter?

@writh I am liking the style and more obviously open-source culture of MOA a lot, and if I did instagram, MOA has that covered, too. Based on what @freemo said, it sounds like there is more compatibility in what can be reshared, too.

Actually the other crossposter isnt denying you due to compatibility. They explicitly block a huge list of servers, effectively any server that doesnt block the servers they want to see blocked get blocked. So the other crossposter is a bit of a shit show.

@writh

@freemo in your experience, how long does it take for MOA to crosspost from mastodon to twitter? It does not appear to be instant. @worldsendless

@writh @freemo yeah, I was just surprised by. that, too. Seemed to take a few minutes, or maybe I was slow to notice it. It also didn't mention that it was a crosspost on the twitter side, so I had to double check if I wrote it there or here.

@worldsendless @freemo When viewing the detailed tweet, it does indicate that it was sent from the Moa Bridge.

@writh @freemo oh -- Twitter web app doesn't show that on the stream. Only on the individual past view.

Sorry to @freemo for being tagged in @worldsendless and I figuring out how to Mastodon.

@writh I just had a crosspost hit twitter in a matter of seconds. I think any delay may just be incidental.

@writh @freemo I just noted a post from Mastodon showing up on my Twitter feed in 3 minutes. The other direction seems faster. Perhaps Mastodon is checked on a 5-minute poll, or some such. No big deal either way since five minutes is fine by me, and I love the way it auto-threads long toots. But perhaps a useful datapoint.

@worldsendless

I suspect the delay is to deal with delete and redraft issues that would arise, not sure though.
