@freemo Uhm... wow. I really appreciate punishing users for decisions they have no control over.
@Romaq the difference is that a minecraft server doesnt rely on a healthy connected and federated network to be useful.
@freemo Oh yeah, I know. I wasn't thinking so much of the mechanics or the connectedness of "things," just the over-arching attitude of "lording it over mortals and lesser beings."
I run a server as a matter of self-defense from encountering too many godlings. At this point, because of my wife's disability, running my own server of "whatever game" is just life to keep her from having to deal with that nonsense.
@freemo I know. Same issue with running a #Minecraft server. The point of being an admin or "Mod" (staff privileged user) is to lord it over mortals and lesser beings. The idea of serving a user base and facilitating the common interest of the them? That notion can just piss right off!
