@freemo Wonder how it compares to the legendary Cycle 21 in the late 1970s when I was a new ham. 11m CBers were making contacts with VK & ZL when 27MHz CB was still illegal in both. Not unusual for 4 watt AM mobiles using loaded short verticals in the middle of the US to be working base stations with verticals in ZL & VK.
Sadly while we are well past the expected maxima for this cycle overall this cycle is nothing impressive compared to some of the bigger cycles of the past... yet... time will tell
The apocolypse will be many things. Boring is not one of them.
@JonKramer @freemo @weezmgk "An awfully big adventure", as J.M. Barrie put it. I quite like the idea of being taken out by a large asteroid aimed directly at me from above. When the pressure wave hits you're just plasma, but until then you get a fascinating view.
@freemo @weezmgk , watching this stuff makes me excited. And there is so much out there in the world to watch. Not just this, but new tech, ants, art.... everything. Even the new heat wave is exciting....
There was a Star Trek episode where Spock hears the last dying thoughts of 1000 vulcans... and they all thought "Fascinating". Ya, this is just sunspots, and might cause static in a Hulu download, but it is all fascinating. I hope that is my last thought.
