For all the #Cannabis connoisseurs out there... Which cannabis isolates have you tried. Leave your opinions and questions in the comments.
@freemo If can find them in your area, Himalaya brand cartridges are excellent, as are their resin sugars.
In terms of flower, I prefer indica heavy strains, so here are some of my faves that I try to go for when looking at extracts:
Obama
King Louie
Blueberry Muffin
OG Kush
AK-47
Durban Poison
On the sativa side, I'll never turn down a White Widow. Wedding Cake is a nice hybrid, as is Cherry Pie.
Not so hot on:
Gelato strains (underpowered, bad taste profile)
Zskittles (migraines from this strain for some reason)
While a lovely choice of flower there, to be clear, this post is about the psychoactive chemicals in cannabis when isolated in their pure form and consumed directly.
Oils and extracts are usually a mix of these chemicals (with THCp and v being in very small quantities). The oil is usually just the first step, it is then seperated into its pure chemicals in this case.
@freemo ahh - thanks for the clarification. That level of chemistry is something I don't have access to - resin extracts are about as far as my experience goes, and I don't believe I've encountered anything that's a pure isolate in the marketplace as of yet. The flower suggestions were posted because those strains are what I look or avoid for when buying extracts and cartridges.
@Arotrios If you live in the USA you can just order it online. With the passing of the farm act its all legal nationally now.
No.. the farm bill legalized hemp and hemp **derived** products... which means they are allowed to concentrate the stuff normally in weed and ship it as long as it comes from hemp and not weed.
The only restriction is on THC-delta-9 itself, in this case it is limited to 0.3% concentration by weight. Being the active ingredient this does limit you you a bit since you can only get it in gummies and edibles in its isolated form.
You can also get around the above by getting THCa which decomposes into THC-delta-9 but is itself not delta-9 so its legal under the farm bill.
@freemo Well, then I got news for the growers I know that have been telling me otherwise... thanks! ;)
