Screen shot from an actual campaign video, from MAGA Republican candidate for Missouri Valentina Gomez, in which she promises:
“When I’m Secretary of State, I will 🔥BURN🔥all books that are grooming, indoctrinating, and sexualizing our children. MAGA. America First🇺🇸”
I remember when the Nazis burned books. I also remember what they burned next.
Maga wantto make it so you cant access the books they dont like, Dems want to make it so you cant access the social media profiles and posts and other forms of free speech they dont like.
Whether your calling for the censorship of Trump's Twitter account, or Hitler's Mein Kampf your in the wrong. Not because these sources are correct, but because censoring access to words is not the solution it is the problem.
What, who said you cant block an account for literal sex trafficking? How is this even remotely related to my statement?
Your argument would be like saying "Its perfectly ok to ban books, afterall some books are child pornography books"....
@freemo just read it again. you have something to learn here. I am not doing it for you, you whataboutist fucking cretin.
You don't seem to understand the difference between "free speech" and "criminal behavior", regardless if you define that in moral terms or by law. Although people with this discrepancy have in the past created laws to exterminate people with opinions they don't like.
@freemo @falcennial @randahl
> Dems want to make it so you cant access the social media profiles and posts and other forms of free speech they dont like
Citation needed. In my state, the Republicans are the ones passing laws about social media that are getting slapped down by federal courts for being unconstitutional. Same in Texas and (iirc) Missouri.
Where are dems trying to pass laws to take down protected speech from social media?
@freemo @randahl there is more to it than that. instagram is literally where sex traffickers groom children. those posts are not "free speech" bruh they are child abuse and a criminal offense. one is not like the other. the democrats are right to shut down avenues for child exploitation. the two things are genuinely not comparable.
