In some way isn't he saying (or wouldn't it be a /general thought/) that people (nations) should work toward self-sufficiency more instead of taking from others what they can't pay (so not at first going extreme about DIY but less 'out-sourcing' (less buying / tying to external sources if you will) and more internal answer and using what they have?

This also addresses on even simpler terms (without the background of politics inferring here) that less debt is good- so not just running up bills and more DIY (and less abusing other nations too which Western world seems to have based / debased itself on).

❓ Get what I mean?
(I'm looking at this more isolated and about what's mentioned in above terms, than about Trump etc). Your thoughts appreciated.
