I think Valve has done more for Linux gaming in 2022 than pretty much any company has ever done before. Linux gaming is alive and kicking and it has a very bright future. Props to System76 for also making it super easy to game on Linux.

@gpowerf Yeah, I'm glad about that even though I'm mostly a Windows gamer. I do hope to see Linux soaring even more in the gaming world.

@trinsec if Valve comes up with a box that can run Game Pass my Xbox might become a door stop ;)

@trinsec I'm kidding of course. The lil Xbox is neat... not perfect, but neat nontheless.

@gpowerf Weren't they already planning Game Pass support?

@trinsec it is already doable but it isn't officially supported out of the box. There are just a few aspects of the Xbox that annoy me. I've been suffering from some Menu lag that's really suboptimal.

@gpowerf @trinsec Genuinely the fact that all this progress comes at the expense of centralizing it through Steam's storefront is the biggest issue. They've done a lot to make compatibility better, but I can't consider it outside of using the Deck as a console until getting my GOG, Epic, EA and Xbox libraries installed is much, MUCH less of a hassle.
