Dang it! Spent a while trying to figure out why Splitgate didn't work on Steam Deck, dealt with Valve support, found a solution online, and edited the config file... It works!!!!
Damn it! Splitgate doesn't support cross-progression and my only incentive was to make progress on it when on the move... No Splitgate then. #gaming #steamdeck #Splitgate
@gpowerf Fun fun game though. If the game would have continued development, cross-progression was one of the next things on their list.
@obi @gpowerf its unacceptable to launch a game that demands hundreds of hours of unlocking and online verification, but not include cross save support. The amount of lost progress is staggering, and it pretty much turns me away. I get it’s a smaller team but like anti-cheat tech, it should be in the initial planning at this point.
@gpowerf @obi it’s fair, and they are probably the exception that proves the rule. Unfortunately, as much fun as I had playing it, I dropped off once I saw I couldn’t transfer progress around and how long it took. :(
