Remember when almost everyone had a Gateway (or formerly Gateway 2000) computer? For a short few years Gateway was it.

@gpowerf Didn’t have a Gateway myself (first PC was an ill-fated “Tiny”) but their branding was *everywhere*!

@wiredfire I was also going to post about Tiny 😄 They were kind of similar, one from Iowa and one from Surrey. But essentially targeting the same consumers with their affordably priced yet powerful PCs.

@gpowerf Mine was amazing for being my first.. but a pretty terrible machine. I feel bad that Dad spent so much on it 😟 still, it got me through A Levels and was the first beast I went online with once it was upgraded with a modem. But for a £1000 of 1996 money it really didn’t last as long as it should have

@gpowerf I remember. I didn't have one though. But I saw those things a lot.

@gpowerf I knew at one point they bought what was left of Amiga but I didn’t know they got started with TI-99/4A aftermarket gear

@gpowerf OMG I had one of those! It was amazing, loved it! 🥰
With #Windows95 and #EdieBrickell’s #GoodTimes as a video sample file! 🤩 So many memories…
