When consuming books 📚 I always go through the book vs audiobook dilemma. I love the audio format, but I feel like I miss the chance to stop, reread a passage or highlight. I have the impression that audiobooks help me consume content while driving but it is more “superficial”.

@iPabloSB Mm, yeah I can see that. When I read a book, and there's an interesting passage, sometimes it's so interesting that I can read that piece quite a lot of times.

No clue how I'd be with audiobooks as I'm deaf, so.. but I can kind of imagine it like with movies.

@trinsec the magic of reading is exactly that. You can stop, slow down if you need or rush through a less interesting passage. None of that is available when someone sets the reading pace for you.
As you say, it is exactly as with movies. It works great with fiction, as it is more immersive, but also if you feel tired and need more time to process the information there’s no way to slow down the pace except pausing every now and then or going back 15/30 seconds.
