I've signed up to #qoto a while ago and I'm now considering starting to actually use Mastodon as plenty of people I follow on Twitter now have an account in Fediverse. Since I already have an account here it's the obvious choice but the listed version of Mastodon (3.2.1) seems a bit worrying (it's 2 years old), won't I be missing newer features that are likely to come especially now that user base gets bigger? 🤔
Searching for a good instance is tiring - I really like qoto.org's no-block stance because it should hopefully prevent cases where I can't see or interact with someone due to admins blocking their instance. I couldn't really find another instance that also keeps their blocklist small while still being a safe space like qoto.org appears to be.
@jack1142 The version number is actually misleading as we run a modified Mastodon instance and seperately import the new features from the official branch.
There'll be some updates incoming. I'll ask @freemo if he can at least modify that number to sometihng completely different so people won't get confused. ;)
@jack1142 I picked qoto for the same reason
