From what I have seen and lived: most did not find enough interactions here and went back. But we opened accounts here, so they may be back. Most did not shut our twiiter accounts, I am one. There is just some accounts over there that I do not want to miss.
I hope to find my peoples over here and coax some to try the switch so we eventually break out en masse and not stay with one foot in each site.
Mapping others with my shared interests and adding some value contents will help close the deal for those in that situation in the future, I hope.

Heck, I'm on Twitter bc that's where much news organizations post their content and have been since early 2009. I've always had a foot in both camps. Interactions on the Fedi have always been few and far between in my experience. I guess most shadow-ban folks like me because of their politics—most don't want to hear any truth if it goes against their belief system. I dislike the term 'woke' and identity politics immensely.

Agreed. If one is careful of the obvious misinfo, (both sides) one can get much useful information from Telegram without any propaganda filter. The independent journalists, the real ones that seek the truth no matter where it leads, are a great help there.
