Do your country uses American English or British English or maybe it has it's own English?![]()
@viv
Y?
@mur2501 That was Indian English.
@viv
Shouldn't that be Reply instead of Revert
@mur2501 No, revert is usually used in India, at least in offices.
@viv
It's totally wrong, just not the most suitable pick
@mur2501 You tell that to the IT managers.
@mur2501 Officially we seem to learn British English at school. But American English has a lot of influence via TV and internet. I use a mix. I refuse to type 'centre' and 'litre', but I'll happily go for 'neighbour' and use a few British phrases. :P
For the rest about everybody here speaks Dutch, though. 🤪
@trinsec
Dutch is basically an illegitimate child of a German, British and French orgy ![]()
@mur2501 Nah, German and Dutch share the same Germanic ancestor. English is a bastard child of a Germanic and Romance (French in this case) language.
@mur2501 Funny image. But India itself also has its fair share of funny military images. Probably didn't get rid of the weird British habits when India became a sovereign country. ;)
@mur2501 Please revert ASAP with the answer on the same.
