Hi Dr Freemo,
It's important to know that nothing is actually proven, regarding the source and that vested interests have had an agenda against people of a certain poorer nation for quite some time.
We prefer to focus on #resilience first, then blaming #homeless populations on the streets of #California for the piles of #feces that spread #typhoid and other #diseases, second.
You admit that you don't know what steps are necessary to prevent the outcome, and yet you blame an entire country for not taking those steps. Can you demonstrate beyond a reasonable doubt that whatever regulations exist in all(most) other countries that don't exist in China are in any way better at preventing the outcome?
If not then, while it might not be racism, it's some kind of a bias, or at best inherent desire to assign blame for uncontrollable events on a relatable entity, similar to belief in gods throwing lighting bolts.

Only partly true. I do not know what specific regulations one would need to put in place to be able to eat bush meat safely, if any such exist. But I also know that simply regulating bush meat such that the consumption and sale of it is illegal **does** solve the problem (and is the solution enacted by much of the world).
So yes, I do know how to solve it, that is trivial, most of hte world already has. I simply dont know how to let them have their pangolin and eat it too (pun).
And yes, there is countless data to suggest that simply not eating bush meat will prevent most of these sorts of viruses as the vast majority of such epidemics we have ever seen has come from bush meat such as several outbreaks of SARS as well as Ebola.
