Unless you give them more data, Meta (Facebook) is effectively bricking your Oculus device.

@peterdrake I tend to prefer the quest account. If something happens to my Facebook account, my game purchases should be fine and separate.

@rrunswickjr But you can't use the device without logging in to Meta, right?

@peterdrake when I got one, it had to be a Facebook account. As far as the information they have on me, it’s no more or less, but I think I can deactivate my Facebook account without consequence now? Yet to test that.

@peterdrake I am looking to upgrade my headset and I will be going with htc there is no way I would buy the new quest pro. Keep in mind I have played with vr since the early days, rift, rift s, quest. I have planed for this day for a few years now, most of the new vr games I have are on steam. Meta can go an meta it self :blobthumbsup:
