@alesssia @barefootstache @culurciello Yes, but I'm not sure how extensively it can be used; generally you use latex to write papers or thesis containing a lot of long and difficult equations.
This is from my bachelor thesis for example, I wouldn't see myself at ease writing it in python...

@barefootstache @culurciello @rastinza @alesssia Pardon me for barging in, but I think the point of this is not to let you avoid writing \LaTeX by using Python. Rather, if you have implemented a calculation in Python, then you can get a \LaTeX version generated automatically for you. This great in the context of a #Jupyter notebook, as it cuts your work in half. Write the Python function, get the pretty math version for free.

@uhl_me @barefootstache @culurciello @rastinza indeed! It would be nice to have something similar in R, so users can write reports which includes LaTeX bits without knowing the LaTeX syntax.

I never meant it to be a substitute of LaTeX to write complete documents - there are already solutions for that!
