@rataflechera 4weeks? Could be a while.
@Pat @Bertrecords @daeyoung I'm quite calm. I haven't even paid much attention to the US elections.
I do worry that a Congress controlled by republicans would produce some paralysis (right, Biden vetoing legislative acts, but also majority party blocking or dilating executive initiatives) which might repercute in international scenarios such as Ukraine.

My toot was bit abrupt in tone. It's just that here the US we've been constantly pounded by the media about the world coming to an end if one side or the other wins a majority in congress.
If the R's get a majority in either house, we'll probably just see two years of government by executive orders and a bunch investigations by congressional committees. It's not like this hasn't happened many times before. In fact, Biden has spent nearly his entire live in congress, so he may actually be able to get something done with them.
@Pat @rataflechera @Bertrecords I live in the U.S. too and I don’t watch television. I kind of expected Joe Biden to only have 2 years to pass whatever laws he had in mind. He loses one house and no law gets passed.
I went to bed around 12 Eastern time. I think I’m just in a sports-watching mood? I don’t think the country is as divided as the media makes us believe. But Republican politicians are absolute nut jobs
@rataflechera @Pat @Bertrecords I’m quite calm as well. Budget bills might be a pain if republicans hold both housss tho
