I was wondering what the status of Google's switchto/futex_swap upstreaming (a small kernel improvement allowing userspace threading implems to be 5-10x faster).
Found the upstreaming thread from 2020, and this is the literal first sentence of the first reply to the patchset from a prominent maintainer:
