@bonifartius @11112011 mate, get some bacon lardons and fry em off with some onions; add the lentils with plenty of water and dank volumes of cumin and a little tumeric; when it's nearly done stir in an unholy amount of double cream and some extra fried off bacon lardons
serve with fresh coriander and thick, well buttered toast

tbh, these "lentil rants" always leave me with an appetite for lentils. maybe i should do a series on good lentil recipes ;)
