not having a seperate sheath would be the main advantage. It includes a light and bottle opener which could be seen as advantages too but that could be done with a fixed blade too.
but yea its mostly the fact taht the "sheath" is attached so you dont loose it or have a seperate piece to mess with. Which to me is a nice advantage. Plus i dont know of too many fix blades that are this slender and easily carried in a shirt pocket.
@freemo Heh, that doesn't sound like the convenience and size of a foldable knife to me. My pockets generally aren't that deep. :D
@trinsec perhaps not. It is about the length of a pencil or a pen. So to me it is as convient as a pen.
Also I would rather have it longer and slender than bulky. A typical folding knife ina shirt pocket where I kep pens would be too wide and bulky whereas this fits in well enough.
@freemo Right, shirt pockets I can see this being useful at. I don't use shirt pockets, nor have I any, so yeah for me it'd not be as handy.
@trinsec Fair, Though I think a pretty standard pocket should handle it well. Unless your a lady (not sure your gender) in which case none of the clothing is build well for most knives anyway.
@trinsec well it is much thinner than a typical folbable blade, but also much longer. so while the volume is about the same the overall length is probably twice that of a folding knife with the same blade size.
