@trinsec @lupyuen ...best that I don't invite you over for dinner then. :P

@pete Yeah, probably. 😬
At home I usually use leek to replace the onion with.
@lupyuen

@trinsec @lupyuen I should actually try leeks, lol. Not sure I've ever cooked with them myself.

@pete Leeks are surprisingly versatile. Can be used as onion-replacement, but also veggie food on their own. And they can be used in so many dishes.
@lupyuen

@trinsec @lupyuen They kinda look like an onion that has gotten a bit too close to a black hole and undergone spaghettification... :P

@pete See? What's tastier than a SciFi-onion?! 😜
They are in the same family as the onion, so that's why I can get away with it in many dishes. Not every, mind you. A little bit of onion is okay for me. But large pieces that's not fried enough is just ick to me.
@lupyuen

@trinsec @lupyuen Ha, I'll even chop up some bacon and fry it with a bunch of onions and call it a meal.

@pete The funny thing is that I do love dried fried onions and liberally put them on Asian meals. 😋
@lupyuen

@trinsec @pete Sorry folks I'm already desensitised to Onion, Chilli Pepper and Garlic 😉
