Goddamnit, I have got fruit flies EVERYWHERE...

Except for the freaking kitchen where the food actually is!

Turns out one of my potted plants is harboring those fruit flies inside/around its bulb for some reason. I've kindly but very determinedly put the plant outdoors now. :P

The amount of fruit flies encounters definitely decreased!

@trinsec Hey, these sound like they may be phorid flies instead of fruit flies (based on your brief description), which required vastly different treatment methods than fruit flies. (I've dealt with them a ton in my town, they're awful). Phorid flies eat mold and other nasty stuff in dirt/compost/decaying plants/animals, and tend to "land, run, then fly" whereas fruit flies prefer to just fly around close to the source of food. Fruit flies tend to have bright red eyes as well, if they're black, its likely they're phorid flies. Good luck getting this fully resolved!!
