But if you want to prove you're really who you claim to be, and you've got a site under your control, look at Settings > Appearances, scroll down a bit for verification info. Then you can show on your profile page that you're indeed associated with that site and you are what you claim to be.
@trinsec Oh, that's an original way to verify yourself without any kind of authority by the simple mean that your profile has to be a well-known space.
