I'm watching Little House on the Prairie (don't ask) and this show goes *waay* harder than I expected it to.
An episode in the second season opens with a nameless man putting a bunch of cute puppies in a sack and throwing it in a river to drown them.
After the attempted puppycide, *this man is never mentioned or seen again*.
The episode isn't about him at all; it was just a brutal metaphor for the later subject matter.

@trinsec Finding a home for some kids who were orphaned (the same number as puppies in the sack) along with finding a home for the puppies.

@LouisIngenthron Aha. Yeah that show had some sad episodes in it. IMO it didn't age well either.
@LouisIngenthron Well, I wouldn't be able to judge the audio as my ears refuse to work for their intended job. ;) The only thing they're good at is keeping my glasses up.
But I found the series quite silly 'moralistic' sometimes, guess I've watched it too much in the past and can't appreciate it anymore.
@trinsec No, that's totally valid criticism. On the other hand, though, it means the episodes that do go dark are that much more effective.
@trinsec The audio is rough and the 70s hairstyles are rougher, but the rest is holding up pretty good so far.
