Another day, another new Social media platform. Why should I use this one? Someone needs to make the case.
@meechele7 Naw, nobody needs to make any case. If you don't want to stay here, then don't. Not that I'm saying you have to go away, heh. Just that if you don't want to be here, then don't force yourself to. Do whatever you want.
@trinsec I guess what I am asking is what benefit is this one over another? I get clubhouse because I can listen, Is there something that makes you gravitate toward this service?
@meechele7 Well, this is just my social media of choice. Twitter's ad-ridden, and I once literally searched for something like Twitter but with a bigger character limit. Mastodon was the best result. Been sticking around for over 5 years now.
@trinsec @meechele7 Agree. But give it a chance. Write an introduction, favorite some hashtags and put hashtags in your posts if you can remember to do that and it makes sense. There's no "algorithm", hashtags are essential, although boosting is also useful.
