Glorifying absence of work life balance doesn't lead to happiness. I really love my job -- but boundaries are crucial.

@worldsendless There is such a thing as 'burn out'. Forcing yourself away from work is crucial. Even famous programmers like Linus Torvalds take time away to do hobbies like scuba diving.

@lucifargundam absolutely. I'm also a big believer in the power of complementary pursuits to have symbiotic benefits.

@worldsendless, also, being able to focus on the same thing all day doesn't make you any better than anyone else. Some people work that way, and others need to rotate tasks all day to keep a fresh perspective. I really don't see much value at all in op's comment.
