@swiley Several Mastodon instances seem to agree with you on that. Other than just making bad design decisions, has Reddit done anything so grievous as Facebook has? I gain genuine value from several subs
@worldsendless I'm not sure it's quite as bad as Facebook but the moderation can be pretty bad on larger subreddits.On smaller ones I've felt like topic oriented forums usually have better discussions. (I don't know why this is, maybe it's the voting or maybe it's the group of people that Reddit attracts.)
The main reason I have it blocked though is because I spent too much time on it the first year I was in college and that made it hard to get anything done.
