There are similar issues with the current 'cancel culture' someone has branded Winston Churchill racist as he failed to help with a famine during 1943. (it may have been in India)
It seems that fails to take in to account the fact we were in the middle of world war 2. The Uk had rationing and was in immediate threat of invasion.
This is what concerns me, if you take historical figures, sure some are linked to slavery but there are two sides to every persons historical profile. We should be presented with both sides, and decide for ourselves, and others should respect that conclusion.
@zleap Im not sure I'd consider Oscar a Nazi per se. Tons of people were forced to be part of the party just so they seemed loyal enough as to not be an enemy. I wouldnt call that being a Nazi, that is more akin to being a Nazi spy.
@freemo A good point, thanks.
I guess on a similar note if some one said "all Nazis were evil" you could try and counter that with the story of Oskar Schindler

And suggest some helped saved lives.
It would be rather controversial or contentious, however if that sparked a good discussion that would be a good thing.
