Just looking to see if I can talk to people about #LibreOffice on Matrix rather than IRC, I found this and agree with the proposal

I have nothing against IRC, but this is 2024, matrix has a simple client and signup / sign in process which is better for everyone.
@zleap Hi! The problem is creating too many separate communication channels. The better solution is to bridge them together, which we had in the past, but were then disable out of our control: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Website/IRC#Using_a_Matrix_client_to_join
