there's something about seeing where the point at which you consciously register having seen something can follow your actually seeing. like when you're trying to think of a term and you're scanning pages in a book and you suddenly remember the thing you were trying to recall because it's on the page, but you couldn't necessarily say that you saw it on the page or where on the page.

@torresjrjr certainly attention is a thing. I've been mulling over this a bit lately. I tend to think of the brain mainly as a control system for the body. basically a take off of embodied cognition. I haven't worked out what that means for the experience of vision--why it has these colors and shapes. it's not really useful but my answer to myself is something like, "what else would it be like to have these physical interactions with a thing like a brain?"π€·ββοΈ
