@2ck was it a multi-day rainfall? And how dry was the soil prior to the rainfall?

@2ck iirc if the soil dry hardened that cracks form from the lack of moisture, then a day rain basically does nothing since some moisture is needed in the soil to soak up the water from the rain.
Thus would be weary with the hopeful thinking of end of drought.
