@freemo We were just measuring dwell on the power supplied by a generator during a storm.
@AmpBenzScientist most people can survive just fine off lower end MM, it is hardly needed for your average EE... but the high end flukes are absolutely giving you features and accuracy that can be critical in some applications. Particularly the true RMS, which is very helpful if you need an even remotely accurate RMS reading.
@freemo If I had need for a $500 meter I would get it.
@AmpBenzScientist The high-end fluke I have will be significantly more accurate than the 100$ meter on RMS (cheap meters dont do true RMS) but on other settings the increased accuracy wont matter much. The nice features of the higher end flukes are things like logging and graphing as well as being able to measure inductance and capacitance.
