@PawelK @GreenZeta Some of it has to be legitimate.
@PawelK @GreenZeta I don't trust bug bounties. I'm not saying that it is a scam business or exploitation. I've heard that these companies refuse to pay over almost anything.
"Grey Market" is ethical trade. 20k isn't a trunk full of Kalashnikovs or drugs. Several weeks of work for less than a half or quarter of the alleged amount.
One can't forget about those agreements where they can completely destroy a reputation in addition to no pay.
That's just my take on it and my experience.
To those that want to attempt, go ahead. Working on heavy equipment can suck but it actually pays.
20 AKMs would be worth far more than the 20k and only weigh around 80-90kg. A few kilograms of something is likely worth more than that potential award.
I'm not trying to say that illegal things are the right thing to do. It seems far more likely that illegal acts would generate sufficient money to have a better life.
That has to be the weirdest response I've read to a bug thing.
@thor Norwegian Commandos fixing a German dam is heart warming.
@thendrix I guess one could say that they had a valid point in both meanings. I thought murder involved a real person and not a lizard person.
@PawelK @mangeurdenuage Back when I had a Fitbit HR it would record and upload the data collected. I frequented the gym late at night for about an hour with130-150bpm while weight training.
It found that I likely have a sleeping disorder and classified me in a very specific subset of homosexuals. Either that was interpreted as weightlifting or sex with the other men who had a Fitbit.
Despite the targeted adds, I thought it was cool.
@PawelK @mangeurdenuage Promotion opportunities in the KGB.
@thendrix I wouldn't live anywhere else in the US. The state really grows on people.
@thendrix It's easy to forget about our beloved Ruskies that scare the government. Wonder if they can make around 50 cartel mercenaries disappear without a trace again.
@PawelK @mangeurdenuage The charge level was used for something on the earlier phones and even Lenovo has a boot method where the battery needs to be removed or drained. Really cool stuff to know when the Lenovo firmware is nothing but backdoors.
@thendrix Yeah it's what happens when one threatens business in Georgia. There's a lot worse out there. There's not enough napalm available to correct the issues and the feds would kill anyone trying.
@PawelK @mangeurdenuage Part of the legal stuff I'm still dealing with.
@PawelK @mangeurdenuage Those who were in the field were great. They would openly share info with us. At the end of it, there was enough material to do something useful. Good times and I miss it but that's over now.
@PawelK @ThatCrazyDude @0 @sevvie Academia vs Sec Contractor. One actually pays and is enjoyable in ways that can't be said during psych evals.
@PawelK @mangeurdenuage The gov things are really fun.
@PawelK @ThatCrazyDude @0 @sevvie I have some contacts in Shanghai. They tried to get me to come over and I almost did but a contract opportunity came up elsewhere.
@PawelK @mangeurdenuage It was always rather humorous that the better ones had less followers. Most of the people I respected there were met in convos over a circuit board.
Playing around with JavaScript is cool I guess but it takes a certain type of person to enjoy bareboards. That was also the first time I considered OF although I didn't know exactly what I would encounter.
@PawelK @mangeurdenuage It's unsettling.

Political stance is far right and far left. Proponent of First Aid Kits and PPE. Easily disheartened by big tech. Partially hinged personality and stubborn enough to not write this in the First Person.
Distrust of Psychology and a fan of satire. I love a good joke and contradict myself. Somewhat serious but easily distracted.
