As far as I can tell, cooking pans with teflon are not non-stick, just less-sticky.

Are there any pans with real non-stick surface?

Something real, science-based. Not the infomercial bullshit.

@atax1a I have one, but the surface has a lot of texture, and definitely sticky... Aren't all like that?
But, otherwise, they are great for cooking.

@AndresPlazaR cast iron is still probably your best bet if you’re willing to invest the time and effort in the upkeep.

@aj6xk Ah! So the stickiness of the surface of an iron cast pan is a function of the seasoning?

@AndresPlazaR Exactly. A well-seasoned cast iron pan is one of the best non-stick surfaces. Once you get into the practice of deglazing afterwards they're even better.

@aj6xk And it doesn't matter that the surface of the iron has a lot of texture?

@AndresPlazaR The lack of stickiness is more about the layer of polymerized oil than the smoothness of the surface from my experience. My pans aren't perfectly flat but there's very little stick for the most part. You'll develop a feel for it.
