This will be a day for the pages of history.
High intensity drama is coming.

As an English-as-a-second-language speaker, and in the current environment, I have to remember that "getting laid off" and "getting laid" are two very different things.

My #Atari 400 and I have been together since right after Christmas 1981. I bought the 400 at Sears with a combination of paper route & Xmas money. People make fun of its keyboard, but to my 11 year old self having my own computer at home was magic. I’m glad we are still together.

@GFawkz Definitely not right now (too many other projects), but maybe in the future. 🙂

@smy I checked with another monitor (EGA) and the image looks fine, so it is definitely my monitor and not the video card. But I don't understand much of CRTs, so it will be a slow/painful process.

@smy It is working relatively well; I'm having a problem with the monitor, don't know how to describe it. But 100% sure is the monitor, not the video card:

The FX-730p is an evolution of the pocket-computer line that began with the PB 100. It has much more RAM (8KB), a larger display, a simple function evaluator and a "memo" function, that can be used to store simple keyword to multiple values tables. This is not only useful for telephone directories, but also for storing function libraries to be used with the evaluator. The memo-data could also be used in BASIC programs. #retrocomputing #pocket-computer #casio

@smy Yes! It has even a hard disk. :ablobwink:
Not sure about the MSDOS version, I need to double check.

Another computer in my collection: a PC3, an 8088/MSDOS based computer!

A few years ago, my daughter and I started to write an 2600 game based on Twitter and Trump. We never f8nished it, but here are some screens!

I posted a message to mastodon via ham radio! iPhone via Bluetooth to a Mobilinkd TNC3 modem to BaoFeng UB5R. The signal went about 4 miles to the UT Austin Amateur Radio Club's antenna on top of Physics building (KA5D) where their iGate send it to 4X5MG whose bot posted it. Pretty neat! botsin.space/@aprs/10931655032
