@Dcsblack it's recommended not to quote posts on mastodon, rather boost the original post or your reply to the post.
@Dcsblack the issue with quoting is that the original author has no knowledge of what is happening to the context of their posts, thus they cannot clarify any concerns, which in the long run can create toxic behaviors.
